Candice and Jeff are getting married up in Oregon City at the fabulously beautiful Abernethy Center!
The story of finding Abernethy begins back in 2011. Jeff and Candice went up to Portland to visit a variety of places back in March of 2011. In true event planner fashion Candice came prepared with her trusty spreadsheet in hand and proceeded to drag Jeff (and her dad to a few places) around the Portland area. Yes! The spreadsheet listed everything you think you might need - deposits, availabilities, inclusions - Candice doesn't mess around! :) They researched a total of 37 venues online and narrowed it down to 12 for Candice and Jeff to check out over the weekend! Abernethy was first on their list and of course after meeting with Elizabeth, the best coordinator EVER, Jeff & Candice were sold on the place. Jeff's outlook was, "Great we found a place in Round 1, can we go play the rest of the weekend?" Candice's outlook on the other hand was, "Awesome, I love it but we need to make an educated decision and go visit everywhere else as well."
Thankfully Candice's dad let them borrow his car as they drove from place to place to place to place. They visited some incredible locations! Some were incredible because of their locale and their majestic atmosphere, some on the other hand were incredible because they were pretty sure they could have been in the middle of Deliverance if things had gone wrong! HA! After two days of searching, Jeff finally talked Candice into cancelling a couple more appointments, making another visit to Abernethy and after Elizabeth being amazingly patient with them, showing them the different choices of Abigail's Garden or the Veiled Garden, the Ballroom or the soon to be incredible looking Chapel that will be finished when Candice and Jeff get married, they signed the dotted line at their favorite place amongst them all.

We are so excited to be getting married at Abernethy this upcoming May 19th! Elizabeth has been amazing throughout the entire process and it's only getting better! We like REAL people, and she's real, awesome, down to earth, good people! We couldn't have asked for a better coordinator!
To start the evening off right - guests will be treated to a glass of champagne upon their arrival and the party will only keep getting better! We hope that you can be there to celebrate with us on this very amazing day!!
